PROMOTING AN E-BOOK + What are the best ways to promote my e-book on my Web site? + Are there any Web sites that promote e-books exclusively? + How can I get my e-book reviewed? ADDITIONAL E-BOOK LOGISTICS + How much should I charge for an e-book? + What is the typical return policy for an e-book? --------------------------------- This outline took Monique less than an hour to complete. It shouldn't take you much longer for your topic.(For a full e-book, you'll need the full complement of outlining tools and it will take you somewhat longer.)This step is the heavy thinking-planning stage.Your product is born in ACTION STEP #1, but it starts to grow up here.:-) Hey, we still have some time to spare!Why not get a bit of a head start on tomorrow?...Start writing a rough draft for your booklet. Jot down some key points for each tip or question now, while your brain's still in gear. Monique has had some students who have actually completed the content for their booklets the same day. It's not hard once you get started. But that's the key... get started! :-) Tomorrow, you'll finish the writing process. And then decide on a great title for your booklet, using a few templates. You're doing pretty good!It's only DAY 2 and you've already picked and evaluated a saleable topic.And you've now completed ACTION STEP #4... you have developed a solid, saleable outline using a time-proven "trick of the trade." ============================= DAY 3 & DAY 4 -- Flesh it Out ============================= You're half-way to finishing your infoproduct.And after you do finish, the real fun starts... marketing and selling it! At this point you have an outline, and you have thought up at least a few key points you want to discuss for each tip or question. Are some areas still a bit sparse?Just to make sure you haven't missed anything from your prospect's point of view, continue collecting and evaluating responses from the discussion groups. Do another hour or two of research on the Web to smooth out any of the rough spots. You can find e-zines galore at... Best Ezines New-List OK, got all your notes together?It's time to flesh out your outline. Using all of your collected data, along with your own knowledge, elaborate upon each question or tip in your booklet. Write the content, just the first draft. It's not critical to make it perfect yet. Just write ideas as they come. Organize them into the appropriate parts of the outline and elaborate upon them.Write, write, write. Forget about grammar and typos -- just get it down for now. Three hours each day should result in a pretty good first draft of your 10 page document.If you get even a hint of writer's block, use the techniques in Chapter 5.5 to unleash a flow of great ideas. Well, we're at the end of DAY 4 -- your first draft is complete. You've pretty much zeroed in on the single most important benefit, you've finished the outline, and you've written most-or-all of your content. And that's it -- all finished for now -- good job! Tomorrow, it'll be time to play...
